More than your average husband and wife business
Meet Ian (aka “The Hammer”) and Alicia (aka “The Heart”). Together they bridge their natural talents of craftsmanship and design to renovate houses into modern, upscale homes.
The Hammer & Heart is more than a husband and wife run business that opened in 2017.
It’s their opportunity to truly live their dream of working for themselves and owning their own business. It’s a place for them to work together doing what they do best and are passionate about.
They’re powered by 4 amazing kids, 1 loyal canine friend, and 2 notoriously independent cats.

The heavy lifting behind Hammer & Heart
There are two unique parts to the team at Hammer & Heart.
The first is their crew of artisan craftsmen that have been doing this work for over 30 years. They have more than 100 years of combined experience in construction and remodeling.
The second is the Hidden Acres Amish community. All of Hammer & Heart’s cabinets are custom made and carefully built by a father/son duo, Wayne and Johnny.
Without them, we wouldn’t be able to bring the quality of work that we hold ourselves to.

We always tell people that the first day of the project is the second best day, because we get to go over what you want and talk about how we can make it happen.
We love being able to tell people that, yes, we can do that and make this an awesome space.
But it’s the last day of the project that’s the best day.
Because they finally have the space they’ve been watching come to life over the last weeks but have wanted for years.
We truly love giving people the space they dream of.
